Frequently Asked Questions

What can I see you for?

I primarily support people living with chronic pain and complex, ongoing health concerns. This includes conditions where symptoms persist despite normal scans or unclear answers.

While my clinical focus is chronic pain and nervous system regulation, I also support hormonal health, gut health, stress-related symptoms, fatigue, and general well-being.

If you're unsure whether I’m the right fit, you’re welcome to reach out before booking.

What happens in an initial consultation?

Your first consultation is comprehensive.

We’ll discuss your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, nutrition, medical investigations, and any previous treatments.

From there, I develop an individualised plan that may include dietary changes, herbal medicine, supplements, nervous system strategies, and lifestyle support.

You’ll leave with clarity and practical next steps.

How is naturopathy different from seeing a GP?

Naturopathy does not replace medical care.

GPs play an essential role in diagnosis, investigations, and medical management. My role is different. I focus on identifying underlying drivers of symptoms, such as inflammation, nutrient depletion, nervous system dysregulation, stress patterns, hormonal shifts, and lifestyle factors.

Many clients work with both a GP and a naturopath at the same time.

Do you prescribe supplements?

Only when clinically appropriate.

I prioritise foundational changes first: nutrition, lifestyle, and regulation. Supplements are used strategically and with intention, not as a blanket solution.

Do you treat chronic pain?

I don’t “treat” pain in the conventional sense.

Instead, I work with the systems that influence pain, including the nervous system, inflammation, stress physiology, gut health, hormonal patterns, and overall resilience.

Pain is rarely just structural. My approach is about understanding why your body may be stuck in a pain cycle and supporting it differently.

Is naturopathy evidence-based?

Yes. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and my work is grounded in physiology, pathophysiology, clinical nutrition, and evidence-informed herbal medicine. I use current research alongside clinical reasoning to develop safe, individualised treatment plans.
